TARA REID
is an accomplished teacher, choreographer,
competitor and dancer. She had her first
lesson at age 5, consistent lessons at age 8
and serious instruction at at age 13. Her
primary instruction was with the O'Riada
Academy of Irish Dance in Kansas City and
supplementary instruction with the Reid
School in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Tara finished her competitive career as an
open champion with 3 consecutive years
ranked in the top 25 at the North American
Nationals and a four time world qualifier.
Tara was invited to Las Vegas in September
of 2006 to dance professionally with Sin è
Ri Ra, the house band in the Nine Fine
Irishmen at the New York New York Hotel and
Casino.
Her current passions include dancing for the
pure enjoyment of it and teaching. Tara
understands that everyone learns differently
and is able to adapt her style to best suit
the needs of the dancer. She brings
enthusiasm and ten years of teaching
experience to the Martin Percival School of
Irish Dance.
